Overview of 4E's Framework

Objectives

At the end of the programme, participants should be able to:

1.   Appreciate the nuances of 'Effectiveness' 'Efficiency' 'Economy' and 'Empowerment' 

2.     Appreciate the various possible applications of the 4E's framework

3.     Apply the 4E's framework in their thinking process and evaluation of ideas
4.    Realize the potentials and impact that each participant could contribute towards improving his/her organization

5.  Better communicate their ideas and thoughts in improving their organizations to their superior.    

Synopsis

This 1/2-day workshop prepares participants to better appreciate their potential areas of contribution and roles as key stakeholders in growing with their organizations.

DO NOT miss the various exercises and case studies of innovative application and appreciation of  Effectiveness, Efficiency, Economy, and Empowerment; the possible adaptation of standard tools and templates for harnessing the 4Es; 
and techniques of presenting reports to the management.
Through the process, participants would learn to be more mindful of their day-to-day work routines; and place of employment.

游泳教程

蛙泳 
蛙泳配合有一个顺口溜,在讲解蛙泳动作要领之前先介绍给大家:划手腿不动,收手再收腿,先伸胳膊后蹬腿,并拢伸直漂一会儿。从顺口溜中可以看到,手的动作是先于腿的动作。一定要在收手后再收腿,伸手后再蹬腿。
                             
臂部动作:
1、外划。双手前伸,手掌倾斜大约45(小拇指朝上)。双手同时向外、后方划,继而屈臂向后、向下方划。
2、内划。掌心由外转向内,手带动小 臂加速内划,手由下向上并在胸前并拢(手高肘低、肘在肩下),前伸。
3、前伸。双手向前伸(肘关节伸直) 要提醒大家注意的是:外划是放松的,内划 是用力的、加速完成的、前伸是积极的。
                               
蛙泳的完整配合动作:双手外划时抬头换气,双手内划时收腿低头稍憋气,双手前伸过头时蹬腿吐气。 
                                 
腿部动作:
1、收腿:屈膝收腿,脚跟向臀部靠拢,小腿要躲在大腿后面慢收腿,这样可以减少阻力。收腿结束时,两膝与肩同宽,小腿与水面垂直,脚牚在水面附近。
2、翻脚:两脚距离大于两膝距离,两脚外翻,脚尖朝外,脚牚朝天,小腿和脚内侧对准水,像英文字母“W”
3、夹蹬水:实际上是腿伸直的过程(屈髋、伸膝),由腰腹和大腿同时发力,以小腿和脚内侧同时蹬夹水,先是向外、向后、向下,然后是向内、向上方蹬水,就像画半个圆圈。 向外蹬水和向内夹水是连续完成的,也就是连蹬带夹。蹬夹水完成时双腿并拢伸直,双脚内转,脚尖相对。蹬水的速度不要过猛,要由慢到快地加速蹬水,两条腿将 近伸直并拢的时候蹬水速度最快。
4、停:双腿并拢伸直后在一个短暂的滑行(1-2)


自由泳
游泳是全身运动,任何一个部位的活动都离不开全身的协调配合。从表面上看,自由泳依靠划水和打腿产生推进力,实际上,躯干的作用也不能忽视。首先,躯干 应保持一定的紧张度,腰部如果松软,整个人就像一摊泥一样。其次,身体的转动能够有效地发挥躯干部大肌肉群的力量,减少阻力,提高工作效果。
自由泳的完整配合有多种形式。一般常见的是每划水2次,打水6次,呼吸1次。
                 
1、手的入水点在肩的延长线和身体中线之间,以大拇指领先,斜插入水。
2、入水后,手、肘、肩继续前伸,使手臂伸展。随着身体的转动,屈腕、屈肘,手臂向 外、后方抓水;手下划到最低点后,旋转手臂向内、上、后方划水,保持高肘屈臂的划水姿势。
3、手臂与水平面垂直时,经手领先,加速推水,手臂转为向外、向 上和身后划水直到大腿侧,提肘出水。
4、出水后,手臂自然、放松地经空中向前移臂,保持高肘姿势。然后手在肩前领先入水,开始下一个动作。
                            
1、手臂在水下成曲线划水路线,从侧面看,手相对于身体的划水轨迹为“S”形。
2、自由泳两臂配合有前交叉配合、中交叉配合、和后交叉配合3种基本形式。本图为前交叉形式,为初学者比较容易掌握的方式。
                  
    单臂打水划臂动作是初学者应该重点练习的动作。如此图,左臂划水,那么可以右臂扶板。一般腿打水10产次左右,手臂划水一次。掌握到一定程度的时候可以加上呼吸练习。具体组数以及练习方法,我们会在教学中详细介绍。
腿部鞭状打水:
1、打腿动作从髋部开始发力,大腿带动小腿,做鞭状打水动作。
2、向 上打水腿从直到弯。以直腿开始向上打,脚接近水面时屈膝,小腿上抬,使脚牚露出水面后向下打水。开始可直腿打水,但腿略放松,不要僵硬,在水的压力下腿会 自然弯曲。向下打水前膝关节弯曲角度约130-160度,打水幅度约为30-40厘米。打水时要绷脚(芭蕾脚),不要勾脚。


仰泳
1、臂划水时,出水以大拇指领先,移臂时手臂与水面垂直,上臂贴近耳朵。移臂过程中手臂旋转,入水时小拇指领先插入水中。
2、如果以头的位置为钟表12 点,两手的入水点在11点和1点的位置。手入水后先直臂下划。
3、两臂划水应与身体转动协调配合,两肩不断形成位置差。
4、两臂划水配合采用中交叉方式, 即两臂始终处于相反的位置,一臂划水时,另一臂移臂。
5、头部保持稳定没有左右摆动。
                         
1、呼吸虽然不受限制,但最好采用有节奏的呼吸方式,或以固定在一臂移臂时吸气。毕竟划水以及身体在水中行进时会有波浪及水花。随意呼吸易呛水。
2、保持 水平的身体姿势,躯干和肩随手臂动作围绕纵轴转动,始终有一肩不露出水面。
3、一般每划水2次,腿打水6次,呼吸1次。
4、两腿交替做鞭状上下打水。向上 打水要快而有力,脚略内旋并绷直,向下打水时腿和脚自然放松。
                 
1、移臂时手臂紧贴身体不能太宽。
2、移臂时如果手臂易弯曲,则可暂时用小拇指领先出水,养成直臂出水的习惯以后再用大拇指领先出水。
3、身体始终保持伸展、正直、几乎水平地仰卧于水面,好像平躺在床上,头下有一只矮枕头。
                        

建议:仰泳腿要体会大腿用力,上抬与下压都要有,体会大腿带动小腿的感觉。


蝶泳
                                  
1、蝶泳的手入水点在两肩的延长线上,以大拇指领先,斜插入水。
2、入水后,肩、肘前伸,两手沿曲线向外、后、下方抓水。两手分开到肩宽时,屈肘,加速划 水。
3、两手分开到达到最大宽度后,手臂转为向内、向上和向后划水,手臂上抬时保持高肘屈臂。两手在胸下或腹下时,手之间的距离最近。
4、呼吸与划水的配 合也是蝶泳技术的关键。手臂结束向内划水时,头露出水面吸气,移臂时头还原入水。记住两个之前,即头在手出水前出水,在手入水前入水。
                               
1、蝶泳双手划水两手距离接近最近时,手臂划水的方向再一次改变,转为向外、向上和向后划水,直至出水。
2、划水出水后,手臂在肩的带动下经空中向前移 臂,准备入水、移臂一般以低、平、放松的姿势从两侧前移。
3、蝶泳的身体姿势掌握比较难,同时鞭状打水也不易掌握。在蝶泳学习的时候,我们会有专门的分解 练习让您逐步掌握运作。
                             
1、蝶泳的划水路线一般为钥匙孔形,指两手在胸下或腹下时的距离最近,这种前后划水路线比较均匀。
2、注意蝶泳的四肢动作是双臂、双腿同时协调发力。

【zz】Live abroad ( 海外生活体会)

At first thought, the task of preparing to begin life away from home can seem 1)daunting, if not overwhelming. Being surrounded by an unfamiliar culture, environment and social 2)norms, while being away from family and friends, is something which more and more Chinese students experience in the quest to gain a western education.

很多中国学生一想到自己要出去接受西方教育,要远离家人和朋友,要投人到一个陌生的文化、社会环境和社会规范中去,总会觉得无所适从,很茫然。

With school courses drawing to a close, many students find themselves in the midst of preparing for further study abroad. As a foreign teacher, I often found myself being turned to for answers to help 3)demystify the process and add moral support in many student decisions to journey overseas. Therefore, based on my experience, the following five steps may prove useful in assisting prospective overseas students in their preparations to study overseas.

随着学校课程的逐渐结束,那些将要出国深造的学生们的准备工作也进行得如火如荼。我作为一名外国教师,经常有学生来问我关于留学程序上的问题,并希望我可以给予他们精神上的支持。因此,基于我的经验,我总结出以下五个步骤,并希望对有留学志向的学生有所裨益,能帮助他们更好地准备留学。

1 Get to know your new home before you land in it

到达新家前先了解它

There is no substitute for good preparation. Arm yourself with background knowledge by researching information about the country you are going to. Learning about the history, culture, tradition, language and even details such as food, music, transport, weather and social activities of your new host country are all important. Thanks to the Internet, most of this can be found at the click of a button.

充分的准备是必不可少的。通过寻找你所要去国家的背景知识,将自己“武装”起来。学习东道国的历史、文化、传统、语言甚至如食物、音乐、交通、天气、社会活动等细节都是非常重要的。由于有了国际互联网,现在我们要找这些知识只需按一下鼠标就行了。


If you are fortunate enough to make the 4)acquaintance of a foreign native (from the country you wish to study in), be sure to ask them as many questions as possible on things such as good places to live, the cost of transport or important celebrations during the year. The information they provide would most likely not be published in any textbooks or tourist magazines.

如果你有幸认识一个外国人(一个你想要去留学的国家的人),请一定要向他请教你的所有疑问,例如适合居住的地方、交通费用或一年里的重要庆典等。他们提供的信息很有可能是教科书或旅游杂志里没有提到的。

2 Attitude is everything.

态度决定一切

Don't underestimate the power of the mind in determining how events turn out. Decide how to approach any situation, before you are placed in it. Positive thoughts about your new circumstances and a positive attitude toward your new home and hosts will bring positive results.

不要低估意志对事物的决定作用。在遇到各种突发境况前先想好处理方法。对新环境的乐观看法和对新家的积极态度会带来好的结果。

Alternately, many people set themselves up for failure simply by talking themselves out of success. Don't 5)sabotage your chances at being happy and successful in your future study and new life before they have even started. Maintain focus on one or two major goals (not too many) and work steadily and gradually towards these.

同样的,很多人就是因为没想过自己能成功,而让自己和成功绝缘。因此对你还没有开始的海外留学生涯,你一定要心存乐观,保持快乐的心态,不要让成功的机会溜走。集中精力在一两个目标上(不要太多),循序渐进地朝着这些目标奋斗。

3 Pack using your head and your heart.

收拾包裹时要心脑并用

It's not easy being practical when deciding what to pack and there is always that temptation to bring cherished personal belongings such as books, letters or 6)fluffy toys. Whatever you bring, make sure that is will be something that you think might help your chances of succeeding.

收拾包裹并不是件容易的事情,总会有想带一些私人珍藏的冲动,例如书本、信件或绒毛玩具等等。不论你带什么东西,请确保这些东西对你以后的成功会起到一定的帮助作用。

This includes practical items such as study materials, old class notes, favorite textbooks or pens and even the contact details of previous teachers. It might also include some small luxuries such as study music or well-packaged snack foods. Items of sentimental value such as a flipbook with photographs of family and friends or a favorite item of clothing can help you feel closer to home.

这包括一些实用的东西,例如学习资料、以前的课堂笔记、喜爱的教科书或钢笔,甚至是以前教过你的老师们的详细通讯方式。这还包括一些小件的奢侈品,如学习音乐的东西或包装精美的零食。有情感价值的东西可以让你觉得离家不远,例如家人或朋友的相集或钟爱的衣服等物品。

4 Remember your roots.

Contact people you care about before and after. You are a person with feelings and 7)relocating overseas is a big event. Talk to your close friends and family about your thoughts, dreams and fears for your new venture before you leave and make sure you keep in regular contact after you arrive and during your time away. Sharing the experience always halves any burdens and doubles the excitement of any achievements. Besides, with the ease and convenience of communicating via the Internet nowadays, there is no excuse not to keep in touch!

不时地与你所关心的人联系。你是一个有感情的人,而出国留学是一件大事情。在离开前向你的家人朋友倾诉你的想法、梦想和恐惧。并且确保在你到达后以及其后的时间都要与他们保持经常的联系。与他人分享你的经验会让你的痛苦减半,使你的快乐倍增。何况,现在通过互联网可以很方便容易地与人沟通,我们没有理由不和他人保持联系。

It is important to realize that while new and exciting things may be happening to you in your new environment, things and people back at home will also be changing. It is possible to feel isolated and experience "reverse culture shock" when you return home for a visit after an extended period of time away. The extent of this can be determined by such things as how involved you become in your new culture and how involved you stay in your original culture. Remember your roots, they are an important part of who you are.

有一件很重要的事情我们必须要意识到,那就是:当你在新环境里经历着新鲜刺激的事情时,故乡里的人和物也会发生变化。你很有可能感到被遗忘,并且当你经过一段时间后回国时可能会体验到“反文化冲击”。这种“反文化冲击”的程度取决于你融入他国文化的状况以及你对本国文化的保留程度。记住自己的根,它们是你自我归属感的一个重要组成部分。

5 Take opportunities as they come.

不失时机地把握机会

Learn from all experiences. Value both your achievements and disappointments as learning experiences that can be applied to future situations in life. Value all positive outcomes and more importantly, don't take negative outcomes at face value. Instead, try to see the lessons in mistakes and turn them into opportunities for future improvement. Opportunities are present all the time, but often they go by unnoticed. Recognizing opportunities is a skill which anyone can learn through practice and patience.

在体验中汲取知识。把成就和失望都当成是在学经验,一种以后可以用得到的经验。重视所有的成功,但更重要的是,不要只看到失败的表面。尽量从失误中吸取教训,把它们变成以后成功的机会。机会无处不在,但经常在人们的忽略中消失。每个人都只能通过实践和忍耐来学会抓住机会的技巧。

In summary, travelling overseas is an amazing opportunity for personal growth, which not everyone has the chance, or the 8)inclination to take part in. By no means should my advice be taken as the only way to do things. The beauty of learning through experience is that it proves that there is no right and wrong way, instead preparing you for the best personal way in which you can deal with issues as they arise. Still, I hope my suggestions will be of assistance to students (including previous ones of my own) who will study abroad from 2004 onward and I wish all the very best of success.

总而言之,出国留学对个人的成长来说是个不可多得的机会,不是每个人都有这种机会或有出国留学的意愿的。我的以上建议绝对不是唯一的行事指南。实践学习的美妙之处在于根本就没有对或错的方法,有的只有你最适合的方法,你得用你的方法面对任何的挑战。尽管如此,我希望我的建议能够对从2004年起准备出国留学的学生(包括我教过的学生)起到帮助作用。我希望他们一切顺利。

【zz】单杠双力臂攻略。

第一步,你得有良好的基础,引体向上和单杠的臂屈伸是你必须熟练的。这个教程给出的推荐量是能完成20个引体,20个臂屈伸。当然,下面也补充了一句不是每个人都必须得有这样水平,也许你能做10个引体的时候已经有可以完成双力臂的水准也不一定。


引体是实打实的,不能靠双脚的甩动带起。


接下来翻身上杠,开始臂屈伸吧!



当你准备练双力臂的时候,你抓握的方式就得适当改变了,你得让你的手指往前抓一些,这样你的手掌正好在杠子上方的面积就会变大


如图所示


用爆发性的引体。爆发式引体对于发展让身体超过杠子所需要的力量是必要的,利用你的腿帮助你自己的身体上升。做3组10次。



助力双力臂之后慢速下落,用一个矮一些的杠子直接跳起完成单杠双力臂然后体会这个动作的感觉。尽可能慢的下降来锻炼需要的肌肉。
3组*10次





继续锻炼这个动作,但是减少摆动直到你可以只有轻微的摆动甚至不摆动,同样的,尽量减少你的腿部的帮助。


现在该你了,发挥创造力(有杠就练),掌握这个动作!




没有什么捷径,认真训练,均衡饮食,休息充足,双力臂就这么自然而然实现了!祝各位好运&练习愉快!
